The MX-4500N/3500N supports PCL5c and PCL6 printer

languages. For compatibility with PostScript 3, the MX-PKX1 PS3

Expansion Kit is available.

USB Memory Direct Print

The MX-4500N/3500N offers a whole new level of

convenience with a USB port for printing data directly

from USB memory devices — an indispensable

function for users who are in a hurry or who want

quick machine access without a PC. Once the device

is connected, the MX-4500N/3500N guides users

through simple operations on the LCD control panel.

Various Print Applications

• Tab Print can print directly onto tabs on

document separators and insert them into

assigned positions, enabling you to create

professional-looking documents.

• PDF/TIFF/JPEG Direct Print prints PDF, TIFF or JPEG files

without using the printer driver or opening applications.

Note: Direct PDF printing requires optional MX-PKX1. May not support all

PDF, TIFF and JPEG formats.

• Carbon Copy Print mode automatically

outputs multiple printouts of the same

data on plain and/or coloured paper;

convenient for invoices and purchase orders.

• Form Overlay can store office document formatting such as

letterheads and overlay contents in colour, eliminating the need

for pre-printed paper.

• Barcode font compatibility

(with optional AR-PF1 Barcode Font Kit)

NETWORK PRINTING

Speedy Printing and Data Processing

The tandem printing engine with four in-line

drums helps the MX-4500N/3500N deliver a

fast output of 35 ppm in full colour and

45/35 ppm in B/W*. Its short, straight paper path minimises

paper jams to save you paper and toner costs. And the

MX-4500N/3500N’s RIP Once/Print Many function only needs to

download print data once from the PC for printing, enabling

multi-page documents to be printed directly from the

MX-4500N/3500N’s hard disk. Printed documents are

automatically collated and output in the proper page order, with

each set stacked offset for easier retrieval.

Large Paper Capacity

For high-volume work, the MX-

4500N/3500N can accommodate an

optional 3,500-sheet large-capacity

tray and stand with 2 x 500-sheet

paper drawers for a total capacity of

5,600 sheets. The Auto Tray

Switching function automatically switches to another paper tray

filled with the same size paper, allowing you to do extra-large

volume jobs without worrying about running out of paper.

High-Quality Imaging with Mycrostoner

The MX-4500N/3500N adopts Mycrostoner, a new toner of

smaller particle size that clearly reproduces thin lines, small

characters and halftone colours. The oil-less toner also produces

vivid, natural-looking colour printouts that you can easily write

messages or post sticky notes on.

Automated Job Finishing

The MX-4500N/3500N makes it easy to create professional-

looking booklets. Working together with the highly productive

built-in stackless duplex module, the optional

Saddle Stitch Finisher folds and staples sets

of documents to make completed booklets. A

space-efficient Finisher is also available for

jobs that require only simple sorting and

stapling. And, a Punch Module allows you

to punch holes in documents for easy filing.

Network Tandem Function

When two MX-4500N/

3500Ns are connected to the

same office network, you

can use both simultaneously

to double output to up to 70

ppm in colour and 90/70

ppm in B/W. With simple operation, you can quickly complete

large-volume jobs to meet tight deadlines.

Proof Printing

To prevent the waste of large-volume misprints, the MX-4500N/

3500N lets users output only the first set to check the content,

adjust settings if necessary, and then initiate output of the rest of

the job from the LCD control panel.
